Somewhere in the late 1980's (to the best of our knowledge) a great vision came to pass when Burpengary Baptist Church was built and opened. At that time there were still dirt roads in the area and the local KFC store wouldn't arrive for another 30 years.
But the vision for a church that would share the love and hope of Jesus prompted a step of faith. Here we are around 40 years later and this facility continues to see the vision fulfilled. The next step involves an update that will continue to see the vision fulfilled for another 40 years and beyond.
Over 2022 we established a Building Vision Team with the mission of seeking God and clarifying the future needs of our facility. Over this time we believe God showed us a new way of thinking required to move forward. We are not building a new church, we are building a community space that will be used for God's plans and purposes right across the week - including Sundays. This facility that will be a lighthouse for the community of Burpengary and also act as a central hub for the plans and purposes that God has for the future that go beyond the boundaries of Burpengary.
